The inside of this 1970s house within a pretty Rutland village has been transformed with a shabby chic, rustic French feel and the owners wanted the garden to have a similar feel.  The tricky front garden and parking area has been transformed into a courtyard gravel garden and the planting is very simple but effective with box balls, hydrangeas and viburnums.  The rustic feel continues through a twisting path of sandstone setts and gravel, through towards the back garden and the planting becomes fuller with a cottagey feel.
